Overview

The Media Asset Library brings the church's approved photos, video, and graphics into one searchable place. Every asset carries its usage rights, credit line, and the versions available, so communicators can use it with confidence and without asking around.

The Digital Media team is piloting the library with a few departments and entity communication teams before opening it more widely.

What the project delivers

  • Search and browse: assets tagged by subject, event, region, and format.

  • Rights built in: each asset shows where it may be used and for how long.

  • Ready-to-use versions: sizes and crops for web, print, and social, downloaded in one click.

Timeline

  1. Collect: gather the approved assets and clear the rights for each. Complete.

  2. Pilot: a small group of teams searches, downloads, and gives feedback. In progress.

  3. Open up: extend access to all communication teams with usage guidance. Planned.

  4. Keep current: an intake process so new assets arrive tagged and cleared. Planned.
